About me
I am Stefan Zwegers, born on 9th of may 1987 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. After graduating from high school I followed the bachelor Industrial design at the Technical University Eindhoven. After receiving my bachelor I continued with the master at the same faculty. I have just received my master degree in Industrial Design in July 2010.
I am an inventive worker with a practical attitude who is able to work individually and in multi-disciplinary teams. In my spare time I am a Taekwondo fighter and a movie lover.
I am interested in ways people can improve their well-being to reach their personal goals; improving the quality of their lives. I think to do this products have to be close to the user. Providing people with information about themselves or the products they use can enable them to perform tasks better, more efficiently or letting them be more in control of their own body.
My specialty lies in the field of wearable products, with a focus on intelligent textiles. I am skilled in integrating electronics and textiles and how to let a wearable product elicit certain values the user finds important. I like to focus on the experience that is given to the user through interacting with a product. I am strong in generating new ideas and concepts and bringing them to live through prototyping and visualizations. Diving into a specific context and determining the important aspects and values in that context is also one of my specialties.
